OUR STORY

Garhwal Mountain Rescue Project

The Garhwal Himalayas are home to the sacred Char Dham pilgrimage, which includes the revered temples of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. This pilgrimage draws millions of devotees and travelers from around the world seeking spiritual solace and enlightenment. Our mission is intricately woven with the safety and well-being of these pilgrims as we strive to ensure they receive the critical medical attention they may require during their sacred journey.

Committed to enhancing healthcare along the pilgrimage route in the Garhwal Himalayas, we take an approach that involves collaborating closely with the dedicated doctors and nurses who serve in this challenging environment. This collaborative effort enables us to gain valuable insights into their specific needs and challenges, allowing us to tailor our education programs accordingly.

The healthcare professionals working in this region face a daunting lack of resources and a high volume of patients on a daily basis. Despite these formidable challenges, their unwavering determination and resilience serve as a constant source of inspiration. They are some of the most remarkable individuals we've had the privilege to work with.

Looking ahead to 2023, we have an ambitious plan in the works - the establishment of a dedicated critical care helicopter transport team for the Garhwal Himalayas. This milestone initiative will be the first of its kind in India, and it holds the promise of providing timely, life-saving medical assistance to the pilgrims in the region. With your support, we are dedicated to making this vision a reality, furthering our mission to ensure the safety and well-being of those on their spiritual journey in the Garhwal Himalayas.
